Innov’up Tech et Secours – 3D modelling of complex buildings

As part of the Innov’up Tech et Secours experimentation call for projects launched in June 2021 by Région Île-de-France, Bpifrance et Atraksis, the project led by Art Graphique & Patrimoine and the fire department SDIS 77 aims to improve the preparation of on-site interventions by firefighters’ teams.

In an approach that supports the digital transformation of firefighting practices, Art Graphique & Patrimoine is developing an application that integrates a simplified 3D model of the building of interest, supplemented with essential data for firefighting operations. The 3D visualization of the building offers the possibility to familiarize with the environment, the different spaces and the accesses of the site. The application helps to increase the understanding of the intervention site thanks to the multiple tools (transparency, colouring, sections, annotations, 360° panoramic photos, pathways). Finally, the application can be used as a support for data sharing within the SDIS.

During the first phase of the project, a part of the Château de Fontainebleau was selected as the operational area. The capture with terrestrial and mobile scans of this area was carried out in November 2021. In parallel, the first versions of the application were generated using the Art Graphique & Patrimoine offices as a test integrating the initial versions of the visualisation and annotation tools.

In the second phase, the BIM modelling will be completed in order to generate a version of the application with the model of the Louis XV side of the Château de Fontainebleau for June 2022. Several versions of the application will be developed between June and December 2022, taking into account the opinions and recommendations of the SDIS 77 fire brigade.
