E-Monitoring of the COVID-19 pandemic

In partnership with the Atraksis association, Anamnèse and SDIS 03, the ‘E-SDIS Santé’ software has been deployed and used in several Departmental Fire and Rescue Services (SDIS in French) to fight the Covid-19 epidemic.

“E-SDIS Santé” is software based on artificial intelligence technology that enables the daily monitoring of the health status of emergency service personnel during the Covid-19 viral epidemic. It thus facilitates the detection of possible cases of contamination among personnel deployed in the field.

Via a detailed questionnaire completed daily:

  • Each user’s personal data is collected on a voluntary basis;
  • aggregated on an IT platform;
  • analysed using artificial intelligence technology.

This solution facilitates the sorting and assessment of the most sensitive cases for better care and human resources management. If the software identifies a risk of contamination, the employee’s health record is summarised, drawing attention to the points to be taken into account, and a teleconsultation is offered and carried out by the fire service’s medical department.

A French Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS de l’Allier) was the first to adopt the solution on 27 March 2020. Nearly 1,600 of the service’s 1,900 officers complete the daily individual questionnaire on which the software is based. Three fire and rescue services used this solution during the crisis, enabling 12,000 firefighters to be better monitored.

“E-SDIS03$anté is a great tool, perfectly suited to our needs. It brings us a lot. Our staff has been very responsive in managing this crisis. With this support and the solutions made available to us, we feel better equipped and can also protect ourselves and our families. The principle is very simple and very effective. We particularly appreciate the daily medical check-up. We have seen that the monitoring system works well,” says Frédéric GENESTIER, Chief Warrant Officer – CSP VICHY – SDIS 03.
